We are looking for a replacement of our current staff accountant/office manager to help run a mid-size landscape company and subsidiary stone sales company. We are based on the northwest side of the Denver metro area. Position could be from half to full time depending on your skills and ambitions. We would love to find someone who wants to dive in and take charge but it could be a less demanding part-time position if that fits your and our needs better. Another part-time employee that is under your direct supervision handles most of the weekly payroll, tax deposits, payables, cash and bank accounts duties.
Ideal candidate would be proficient with Quick Books and Excel and have a strong accounting background. Hours and days can be flexible though at least some “in office” weekday hours are required. Pay rate in the range of $30 to $35/hour or salaried equivalent.
Top areas of office management responsibilities we are:
- Ability to backup to bookkeeper on payroll data entry, payroll disbursements and tax filings, working with salespeople on preparing cost reports, invoices and collecting receivables.
- Management of a very customized Quick Books accounting program.
- Implementation of general office management such as company financial and benefits tracking systems, computer and paper files, office equipment, insurance policies, sub-contractor and employment paperwork, etc..
- Assist stone yard manager with inventory and billing management.
- Assist company accountant in preparation of annual income tax returns.
- IT equipment oversight and management oversight and implementation of annual company valuation process ownership, shareholder and shares purchase tracking for employee-owned corporation.
